The Governor's Office of Planning and Research conducts an annual survey directed to cities and counties throughout California. This survey requests information on the status of the seven mandatory general plan elements and any optional elements, contact information, special planning activities of individual agencies, and general statewide trends in planning. Additionally, we maintain statistics on a jurisdiction's size, charter status, year incorporated and population. Detailed information on each of California's LAFCOs, including links to documents, are also available.
